Saw this on the Auburn board in a breakdown of A&M vs UCLA.

quote:

OL is a weakness

Their guards struggled mightily in this game. That series at the goaline in OT shows how little push they get. The running game popped a few long runs but for the most part could not run in between the tackles with much success & struggled A LOT in pass protection.

Stats and my eyes say otherwise.

From Vinnie Ronca ?@PFF_Vinnie who is a fantastic follow on twitter.

The offensive line.

Interpret that as you wish.

I kinda agree with the Auburn poster

I get that guys have graded highly, but the UCLA dline outside of Vanderdoes is fairly pedestrian. And our other game was PVAM so they better grade out well.

IMO McCoy is a plus player. Our tackles and Lanfear are close to par or par. And Prater is below par (and I flat love Prater's potential, but let's be honest here)

The Oline has played better than we expected but it's still below average for the SEC. That's much better than flat terrible like last year though.

Auburn has a top notch dline. I think our oline is going to struggle but we will know a lot more by this time tomorrow about that unit and this team
