Fan morale is low. Hell, even the beat reporters act like someone kicked their dog.

EMU sucks and it won't mean anything going forward, but just to quell this ho hum attitude a bit it's important.

Honestly, what do you think will happen this evening?

I predict we start extremely flat. We go three and out for most of the 1st Quarter. But then we'll find a rhythm and start to move the ball late in the 2nd Quarter and thru most of the second half.

It'll be a 28 - 14 type game.

If this happen, I will have very little hope for the rest of the season because it will show that a)the coaches can't inspire and fire up the team; and/or b)the team doesn't care.

We were almost there last week.

I think we clean some stuff up and it's a 40-10 type game.

Pump the fricking pessimistic breaks, folks! We've played one game (ONE GAME) under a completely new coaching staff attempting to instill a new system, and that game was against a good power 5 team on the road in a hostile stadium.

Mizzou fans are the most doom and gloom fans in college football. Sometimes it's extremely difficult to be a Mizzou fan because of other Mizzou fans.

Mizzou is Mizzou's worst enemy and that's just sad.

Mizzou had nearly 500 yards of offense last week. How many games in 2015 did Mizzou have 300 yards of offense? How long of a stretch last season did it take Mizzou to accumulate 500 yards of offense? And the 2015 team was coached by Mizzou's greatest coach of all time.

There are positives from the WVU game we can embrace. Mizzou actually showed signs of improvement when compared to last season. But Mizzou fans refuse to acknowledge the positives because we always believe Mizzou should be better than what we actually are.

It's time to accept reality, folks. We're in a rebuilding phase. We need to be patient with the brand new coaching staff. We need to prepare ourselves for a rebuilding type season. Perhaps this season we should celebrate improvement versus unrealistic expectations dictated solely by the win/loss column.

I'm not all that pessimistic yet. But this team SHOULD come out today fired up and ready to dominate. This is their home opener. If they come out flat, and only win by 2 TDs against a team they should shred on the field? There's a problem.

If we can come out and get a little swagger back? I'll feel better. There is a lot of work to be done, and this is a learning/growing year. I can be patient with that, as long as there is good attitude and progress.

Not necessarily. Unless, the problem is...I dunno...a completely new coaching staff and system trying to figure themselves out! LOL

As long as they improve week to week, I'm not overly worried about their overall record.

We need to see just as much improvement from the coaches, as we do the players.

We will learn more as to where everything stands with todays game.

If you are trying to turn around a season by laying a beat down on someone then EMU is the ideal candidate. There may be some growing pains while y'all work out the kinks in the new offense but this should be a cruise control game in the second half.

If this game is close or we lose, it's paper bag time.

Georgia is only beating a terrible Nichols team 10-7 at the half.

Here man.

Georgia is barely beating Nicholls. Clemson is losing to fricking Troy.

We need better support. One of the major things holding us back.

Honestly, Mizzou fans (and Missourians in general) are just the worst...and that's coming from a Mizzou fan and proud Missourian.

We are and always have been our worst enemy.

I'll be at the game tonight.

ETA: And at least I'm still supporting my team.

I'm still here representing my Mizzou logo despite the embarrassing and humiliating turn of events that happened on our campus last fall.

I'm still here despite our football, basketball, and baseball teams finish near or at the bottom in conference play last season.

That's not a good result for the likes of EMU. Even if it is a "rebuilding" year (which is dumb considering the returners on defense).

Our very best defensive asset did not return (Coach Kul). Shocked our defense looks so much weaker this year.
