Martyrdom of kaepernick

I believe the way kaepernick is being portrayed as a martyr is ridiculous. Watch any interview with him over his pro career and tell me that he comes off as the person he's now being portrayed as. Lately he doesn't sound like himself even more and he doesn't speak as upfront-ly and honestly as he always has. My bigger objection, however, is that the people joining his demonstration don't get the proper credit for their legitimate stand. A lot of the players that have made similar statements in the past and more especially in the aftermath of recent events are only getting credit based on their support of Colin.

He's basically an attention whore in a floundering career.

Meh, he's getting the attention he wants. That's what this has always been about at the end of the day. He had to know that choosing to protest the way he has would result in the attention being on his actions rather than his cause. Personally, I'm tired of hearing about it.
"Kaepernicking" (remember that?) came and went. Now that he sucks on the field, this is his new kaepernicking.

I think it is a legitimate cause but Kaepernick...

A hollow gesture for consumption by the ignorant masses.
When he stops standing at the 49ers pay window, I'll take his "protest" seriously.

The guy abandoned by his black dad to a white mother, and then adopted by white parents who paid for all of his schooling, training and practically his life?
Yep, white people must be the problem.

What I love is this fruit cake is now sporting a super size fro, which he never did before. I guess he's just fricked up enough looking that he wants to make sure people know he is melanin enhanced.

He's protesting piece fully and it's his right to do so. I don't see what the problem is. Also He was abandoned by his white mother and I'm pretty sure he worked his way to where he is now but anyway....

I have no problem with what Kaepernick has done and is doing.
This guy sums up my feelings over the whole thing...

Keep players in the locker room for the anthem. If they want to be a part of showing respect let them. If they wish to be disrespectful, remain in the locker room.

You have always seemed like a pretty smart guy so I am curious how his getting paid has anything to do with him supporting a cause?

Kaepernick not only sucks dick at football he is also a huge TPOS. When he is finally cut I will sing the national anthem as the door hits him on the arse on his way out.

He started this BS the week before the final cut. That way 49ers couldn't cut him because it would be discrimination.

If he believes so strongly about his cause, sacrificing a game check or 16 in donation to a like minded organization would go a lot further in my mind, than just sitting during the NA.
On a side note, what kind of team building do you think his "hey, look at me" actions are having in the locker room? Sure, the club and coaches have put on the PC face about it, but I'll guarantee all is not well in 49er camp. Not that they stood a hope in hell this year anyway.
Sorry for not replying sooner, I just saw it on a bump.
