Yes, being able to coach under Saban would make any coacher better.

He has had 3 opportunities as a head coach and turned all 3 of those into a garbage fire. He is not good at being the guy in charge.

I guess if a douche bag like Bobby Petrino can be a successful head coach, a douche bag like Lane Kiffin can be one. But he'll never be a good man or human being.

He was thrown into a shitty situation in those three opportunities.

I wouldn't want him as our Head Coach. Some guys just aren't cut out to be the head guy. Nothing wrong with it.

That word doesn't mean what you think it means.

Tennessee was better with him than they were both before and after.

Carroll turned USC into a garbage fire when he cost them 30 scholarships. Kiffin still won a lot more than he lost.

He might have made Oakland worse, but I doubt it. They've been a complete shite show for most of three decades.

Lane Kiffin, had he stayed at Tennessee and had Monte gone back to the NFL, would have won far more games than Dooley or Butch.

I don't think Lane has the type of personality to lead a major program. I could see him having good success at a Baylor or South Carolina level program.

Lol at Rant logic. Somehow Kiffin would be a great hire and learn from his mistakes but Muschamp was such a horrible hire by us. At least Muschamp wasn't a sleazeball that screwed over a big program to jump ship to a bigger one.

Coaching at Bama isn't a deciding factor here either as both coached under Saban.

I've been on the Kiffin bandwagon from Day 1, and the second the gumps hired him there are posts on here that will verify that. As for Muschamp, meh. They are in no way related.

Kiffin is a sleazeball and I still think he's going to be a great head coach.

It matters. Kiffin needed just a little bit more knowledge. Muschamp already showed what his post-Saban knowledge head coaching career would look like.
