After Losing Teddy Bridgewater to a knee injury, and with a new stadium to open and tickets to sell, the vikings trade away 2017 first round pick and 4th round 2018 conditional pick.

Obviously not a lot of time for a rookie to develop a connection with a brand new qb, but its better than Shaun Hill.

and now laquon is on equal footing with all of the other WR. Sam wont have had pre existing connections or favorites in the passing game.

Is this good news or meh?

I think the reason they gave that up was because they needed a QB right now and they knew that would get the job done without any hesitation. If Bradford stays healthy then they should make the playoffs

I would have rather taken my lumps this season and gotten a top 10 pick in the draft than pay sam bradford 20m and the eagles a #1 pick.

I agree but I guess their coaching staff and front office thought differently

They gave a #1 and a 4th round that is conditional and could be a 2nd rounder depending on how Bradford does. Who does that for a qb who has been a busy his entire career.

The eagles are going to pay 11 million of bradfords contract I think I read the Vikings will pay him 7 million.
So that helps with the lopsidedness of the trade.

They are missing out on their opportunity to get Kelly in the first round. Such a shame.

As a Packer fan, I love this move. Bradford is a bum. Is Laquon even the WR2 there yet? I thought I'd read he was still third on the chart, so it could be like Stefon Diggs last year where they ease him in very slowly, which would help him re: Bradford, since Bradford isn't expected to take over at least until after the first game
