I love it that they think 15 of us can keep up with the hundreds of them posting.

I told you all I was nervous, the last decade has made me cautions, but I think we will pull it out in the 2nd half, not something we should have to do I don't know if it's over confidence, poor coaching, or poor execution. None of us ever made Dobbs out to be a great passer but he has regressed so far. The whole team deserves black stripes at this point.

Butch might want to rethink the permanent captain thing, Sutton muffs the kick and JRM with that hit, it wasn't intentional but damn.

bullshite this is happening. I'm willing to bet they don't have one player we would even offer and this is what he puts on the field.

Definitely not true. App state is very good and typically is. They have a top 5 defense IIRC. I knew it would be a battle but not this much of one. Dobbs was a disappointment.

What happened is that they were sleepwalking. There was better effort in the 2nd half but never did I see them moving like they did last year against stiffer competition.

They won, but got humbled. Not a bad thing, just a bit embarrassing for the fans.

Play calling was slaw, basically last year all over again. Can't get in any rhythm when you wait til 3rd down to throw it.

They were terrified of throwing it bc of how inaccurate Dobbs was being

I was pretty skeptical of all the "improved accuracy" talk and tonight confirmed it unless it was a really off night. Accuracy isn't something you can fix week to week

The bottom line is I think we proved last year and have reinforced tonight the fact that if Dobbs doesn't run we will have a very difficult time winning

I don't understand the lack of long balls. No offensive explosion type plays. Those are obviously huge for momentum.

Threw it downfield one time all game it went for 67 and a TD. Don't know what the deal was but it was far worse than anything we saw last season. O Line couldn't block high schoolers and they keep running Hurd up the middle hoping something changes.

Only thing I can figure is some concern for Dobbs's accuracy and A LOT of concern for the o line giving him the time to throw deep

The one time he did they kept a couple guys in the pocket for extra protection IIRC could be wrong

Oh and he made a near perfect throw so who knows

Also why the frick did Kamara only touch the ball 9 times? Almost every one of his touches was productive and with the offense struggling as it was you've got to adjust (there's that word again) the plan to getting the ball in his hands

When asked after the game Butch said "that's just the flow of the game" whatever that means

I just wanted Dobbs to keep it just ONE time. Of course the one time he does, he probably shattered 4 ribs

That game was so bad I am getting shite from my co-workers and I live in OK.

There is one Bama fan and here was his email

quote:

Impressive win. Game was never in doubt. Vols really showed the CFP Committee what they're made of.

Vegas odds now have UF, UGA, TXA&M and USC all favored by 7+ vs UT. They had to pull the line for when the Vols play that other team that starts with "A", since Vegas couldn't come up with a number to get any offsetting action and didn't want to take a beating.

But hey, you've still got a good shot at an Independence Bowl bid, so you've got that to look forward to!

Enjoy every minute,

I think UT is gonna be alright, but the run defense is concerning IMO.
