Sure there is. I get it. A possible downside. There is risk in everything you do. Everything. There is risk in continuing to start Lambert. There was risk in firing Richt and that risk still exists until Smart proves out.

This actually reminds me a lot of the fire/don't fire Richt argument. Do you stay pat and be content with OK or do you take the risk and say let's go for it with someone we THINK will be better?

It actually reminds me a lot of that argument.

For the record, I wanted Richt gone way before this year. Start the kid. He'll be fine.

I'm right there with you. It reminds me of something that I read in high school:

ETA - I can't find the source quote for that, so maybe I made it up. If so, then I'll claim it as my own.
