obviously they didn't put the bad highlights in there, but he looks accurate. painting pictures with his balls.

2 comments on the video. 1st there sure were a lot of 3rd and longs. 2nd those couldn't have been all his highlights. I only saw the whirlybird twice and I know for a fact we ran it at least a hundred times.

Haha yeah it was clearly cut to show his highlights from the season, hence non of his interceptions nor all of the unsuccessful whirlybird throws on 3rd and 20 made it. But what I saw was a quarterback that was not afraid of the moment, throws the ball with confidence, stands in the pocket and delivers passes with pressure around him, and scrambled to extend the play while looking downfield.

Look at the highlights from his first ever start against Miss St. He scrambled out of the pocket, made sure he stayed behind the line of scrimmage, and waited for Barber to get behind the defense before dumping it off for a big gain. And the first highlight of the Kentucky game, he scrambled to his left and threw a strike across his body to Ricardo.

To me those are really encouraging plays to see from a freshman starting in the SEC. I believe SW is a gamer, very competitive, and not afraid of big moments. I'll take a qb that has those intangibles over a 6'4 physical beast with a big arm who is also capable of throwing it backwards, and a qb who can run a 4.3 but is going to struggle to complete a 10 yard pass. We can win a lot of games with SW as our qb, but will other players step up around him to help him out, and will Gus open up the playbook and create an offensive game plan that helps him? Those are my questions.

Part of the problem was that White was forced to throw while facing an average distance of 8.3 yards to convert. During the 2015 season nearly 45 percent of his third down situations (passing) were of nine yards or more.

Becoming predictable on first down normally resulted in White having to convert too many third and long situations.

I've heard this said before on this forum.

The reply to this has usually been "LOL White sux 1 touchdown lol!"

I'm a big fan of joeyb, but I think he's been drunk-posting a lot lately.

(Which means he has less patience for bullshite than he usually does. )

Stat Tiger can be a giant homer. I'd be interested to see what he said but he finds too many pots o' gold at the end of rainbows

I liked StatTiger better before he sold out to ITAT. He used to be a regular forum poster who posted stats for fun way back in the day.

I don't understand the difference.

He's doing the same thing he used to do, now he's just getting paid for it.
