Vanderbilt would be in the lower tier of Ivy League schools in academics but upper tier in athletics.

Zero. Vandy is easily our best school but wouldn't rank with the Harvard's and Yale's. No P5 schools are with ivy leaguers and no, Not even u Stanford with the exception of computer science. All other disciplines at Stanford don't rank with ivy league.
