If the story is to be believed they didn't play it during the Sugar bowl. I personally can't remember. I was jammed and I was watching my team win the sugar bowl.

My bad. I went to the pre-party in one of the big Sugar Bowl conference rooms and they had the small band play it with the cheerleaders.

Sorry I don't have the terminology down. First time I had ever been to the Sugar Bowl.

Can someone explain to this Yankee why the song is deemed offensive?

I looked up the lyrics and I'm not seeing what could be construed as offensive, unless you're an "injun".

I've been to a lot of college football games and heard many marching bands. Nothing sent chills up my spine like hearing Dixie at Ole Miss. We will keep retreating until there is no where to retreat to. This is a nation of cry babies suffering from micro aggressions.
