Saban. Without a doubt.
Bear benefited from no limitations on scholarships and an SEC office that in essence made sure Alabama benefited in all cases. We joke about it today... but mainly because it was true back in the '60s and '70s.
The SEC as a whole was much weaker back in the '60s and '70s.

Everybody had unlimited scholarships.
Give some specific examples of how the SEC Office helped us out.
Don't buy the SEC was that much weaker in the 60's and 70's. Do you have the figures to back this up?

Coach Bryant never coached in the SEC without scholarship limitations. The SEC had 'The 140 Rule' prior to the NCAA limitations. Even if so, the rule(s) or no rule(s) are the same for everyone. I am so fricking sick of reading this shite I could
