The unbiased, honest preseason prediction by postions:
QB: even: experience and natural talent (LSU) vs star power, offensive coordinator, and track record (BAMA)
RB: LSU: obviously, not a troll
WR: even with slight edge to LSU (this is independent of QB play
OL: even, maybe slight edge to BAMA
DL: Bama but closer than you think
LB: BAMA and not even close (despite our love for Beckwith)
Secondary: slight edge to LSU
Special Teams: BAMA (with Peveto still at the helm, LSU fricked)
Gonna be a great game

Did Jake Coker not put Debo Jones on his arse? Alabama's offensive line was garbage last year. I believe they were close to last in football in plays for a loss. Henry would get - 1yards, 3yards, then 50.
LSU is the only team in the west that he consistently got good positive yards against. The 1st half against A&M and they entire game against LSU was the only time Bama's offensive line looked impressive against a team from the west.
I didn't see one impressive player for LSU in that game. Dural scored on a bad CB blitz call by Kirby. Leonard avg. 1.6 ypg. LSU entire defense was abused in the run game. When Henry did get to the second level no one in LSU secondary could tackle him one and one.
While 185lb Marlon Humphrey squared up with LF31 one on one no problem.
Outside of RB Bama has more talent in every unit.

WR is Bama, easily. Ridley and Foster (really good before injury).

you are wrong. not factoring in QB play, LSU is overall slightly better. With what one could expect for average yearly QB improvement, LSU's WR should outperform Bama's. Again this is preseason expectations but any reasonable, unbiased person should agree.

LSU has better RBs and that's it. Every single publication has Bama WR over LSU's. LSU secondary was garbage last year. Brandon Harris is awful no one in the SEC would trade their starter for him.
Talent gap is as wide as it has been since Saban got to Bama.
The game last year showed that and this year will show it again.

Defense wins championships. On a per group basis if I had free choice I would pick Bama's D line, linebacker group and secondary over LSU's.
Only player on the LSU team that would start at Bama would be booger.

I agree with last year showing a huge talent gap.. the thing is, as players get 5% older, they tend to get at least that much stronger, and improve at the sport of football to an even higher degree. LSU was YOUNG last year. With expected average improvement across the board, this should be about as close to BAMA talent wise they've been since 2011.
Should be a great game.

I'd bet you Derek Mason would trade whoever Vandy's starting QB is for Harris.
Seriously, does anyone even know who Vandy's QB is? Has anyone heard of him before?
Even better question: Does anyone care?
You of all people are not qualified to make such a stupid statement. I though you Vandy guys were supposed to be intelligent...

Holy frick the retardation in LA.

He a gump troll in real life and a Vandy alum on the internet.

Hell yeah he did. And Tony Brown fricked up Guise and we all remember how R Foster destroyed Fournette in 14.

If Bama had lost OJ Howard, Ruben Foster, Tim Williams, Ryan Anderson, Jon Allen, and Eddie Jackson to the draft then the the gap would not be so wide. 4/6 of those guys are 1st team all SEC. Tim Williams is 2nd team and might be drafted ahead of all of them.
Bama lost talent, but was able to retain, 5 all SEC players from the draft as well. There is still a sizable gap.
Bama has some 1st Rd talent that can't even get on the field until the Jr year. While 1st Rd talents are day 1 starters at LSU. That's the difference in talent levels right now.

I would be willing to bet almost anything that Bama has better QB play this year

Both are clear advantages for Bama. Not even close for either. You're a complete homer if you think any differently.

The last time LSU had a better QB than Bama was 2007.

Again this is a preseason prediction, so bet on whoever you'd like.
I'll concede the OL to BAMA.
And like I originally posted I think the DL goes to BAMA but I'd take LSU's ends with a clear advantage (albeit preseason) to BAMA's interior.

The results on the field just don't show all this imaginary talent LSU has. The last couple of drafts have been mediocre for LSU as well. You guys are mostly star gazers and make excuses for your players getting their shite pushed in. Sometimes the other team just has better players. In Bama's case the players are far better.

Bama fans are the only fans in the world who will get mad when any poll comes out that doesn't have them 1st. It could be a pole about "what team has the most pedophiles in their fan base" and they would still get pissed if they were not #1.

They are so ridiculous, it's comical. I enjoy it. Great reading!
