Where to stay and eat in Little Rock?

Going to be staying on Monday the 15th and usually look for an area that i can walk to eat/drink. I know pretty much nothing of the area. I put more value on walkability of a hotel to good places than i do it being fancy and having to take an uber.
I do have a 9:00 meeting at Baptist the next morning if that makes any difference.
Advice would be much appreciated.

Capital Hotel. Great restaurant and bar at the hotel and within walking distance of all the downtown nightlife.
If you're more into beer, the Wyndam is across the river and has 3 local microbreweries/taprooms within walking distance of it. Unfortunately, only one of them is REALLY good, imo (Flyway). The other two are just okay, though Core does have some decent offerings.
The two better breweries are also right next to each other (Rebel Kettle and Lost 40), but they aren't really in an area where you want to walk around a lot.

I have to say that Little Rock is easy on my expense account (although a direct flight from atlanta is hitting me at 850). I had been looking at Capital hotel or the Marriott. Wasnt sure if the Capital was a bit stuffy or whatnot but has some of the highest hotel ratings i have ever seen on travelocity.

Any place down on the River Market should fit your bill. I've stayed at the capital hotel before, and that would be a good bet for you. I haven't stayed across the street since it changed from the Peabody, but it used to be an okay place as well.
I would stay south of the river though. That's not the area you want to take a wrong turn and walk to far, especially if you've been drinking. I know they've spruced up that area around the baseball stadium, but just a block or two over isn't my type of folks after dark.

You could stay out by Baptist, Embassy Suites and maybe hollar @ sugatowng Hog at the Butcher Shop for drinks and steak. Middle of the road type food, but decent.
Anything West of 430 is clean. Not much nightlife, but unless you are ugly as frick or gay, you shouldn't have a problem pulling some heat out of there.

Is The West End still open out that way?

I had looked out that way as well since its so close and i hate morning meetings. Rolling out of bed and going less than a mile may be good.
I couldnt remember who had given me advice before but it certainly was sugatown and the butcher shop. Certainly will make my way in there if I stay out there. (i had asked for advice before but ended up having to cancel the trip).
Sounds like I have two good options and areas. Downtown may best be saved for when i have a late appt and have nothing the next morning.

I have spent my fair share of money at that place.
Is it still a decent spot?

I really enjoyed it for a long time but imo the smoke has gotten to bad over there. Other than that it was my favorite place to hit up in West Little Rock. Twin Peaks aint bad though.
