re: School uniform/dress code: Yay or Nay?

I am for uniforms for school in general whether it be for public, private, or magnet. I agree with your sentiments in your OP and will add that I think it helps alleviate some of the social angst of school. Kids getting picked on because they don't have the best or newest clothes or whatever. If everyone is in the same attire it just cuts some of that hazing and picking out between the kids.
