It's a fair question.
Auburn has had some great decades and some downright terrible ones. AU dominated in the late 1800's and early 1900's up to about 1920 or so but sucked in the 20's after Donahue left and were plain godawful in the late 30's through the 40's until Coach Jordan arrived in '51.
