Texas is too big geographically for the whole state to be considered Southern. College Station and Houston? Maybe. Dallas-Ft. Worth has always seemed kind of uber-Texas to me with a little bit of Southern flare thrown in. Waco I want no part of claiming. San Antonio is Texas/Southwest and not Southern. Lubbock and El Paso? Lulz.

Anything on the East side of the Pine Curtain is a part of the South. This is not a big part of Texas
