Per Hyams:
Jimmy Hyams ?@JimmyHyams
UT loves QB Jarrett Guarantano, who has good, accurate arm and mobility. `He may be a special player,’ one source said.
----------
S Nigel Warrior has elite ability and great instincts. MLB Daniel Bituli will play special teams and could be backup to Darrin Kirkland
Jr.
----------
WR Marquez Callaway (who has best hands on team) and WR Latrell Williams have great speed and are long-ball threats who can stretch field
---------
Byrd could be the steal of the class along with Brandon Johnson, a polished WR and long ball threat.
--------
Tyler Byrd has impressed, displaying skills as WR and DB. One person said he could become first-round draft pick. Quickest of signees
--------
It’s early, but UT feels good about incoming class. One official said it might be Butch Jones' most close-knit in 10 years as head coach
--------END--------------
About as positive as you can get this early on. Not everyone is mentioned but this is really the loudest endorsement of a class early on that I've heard in a while.

Me likey a lot
Especially what we're hearing about Byrd, Callaway, and Johnson. It would be nice if we could go from WR being a question mark production wise to a strength.

Prof bringing the heat
Also said that Marcus Tatum has put on 15 to 20 lbs already and that [b]Kongbo is coming in at 280 lbs.
This defense is going to be so salty. Stoops had Penn St at 3rd in the country in sacks at 46 in 2015. The only two teams above them being National Champion contenders Alabama (52) and Clemson (48) at 1 and 2 respectively. This DL and LB corps are going to wreak havoc on these offensive lines all season. This will be the most talent that he's had to work with since he got into coaching I believe. Crazy that he hasn't had a team finish outside of the Top 25 in total defense since he got the gig at Vandy in 2011. #14 total defense in 2015 and #2 in 2014.
I'm excited to see how he turns these guys loose.

I can't wait to see what Shoop does with Barnett. I'm excited to see a front 7 that brings pressure like Chavis' defenses did in the late 90's and early 00's (minus the Mustang Package).
Don't get me wrong...I love watching a productive spread offense like what we had last year...but nothing gets me as excited as watching an overpowering defense.
