This year might truthfully show where Tennessee football is at
They are placing are their eggs in the basket for 2016
Another letdown season of losses to UF and Bama might show that UT is not what they truthfully believe they are

The number of posts do not make the poster
You are still one of the worse with 10000 posts

It's been the worst 9 year stretch in the history of Tennessee football, but we are certainly climbing out of that hole back to where we have traditionally been for over the better part of 100 years.

You go on to say that "We are placing are of our eggs in the basket for 2016"

Please expand on this.

SEC East or fire another coach

Good programs have stability unless you can pull a Nick Saban out of the coaching ranks
If Butch doesn't win the East he may be gone in 2017

No. I'm going to have to start cutting and pasting responses to this.

Of course. Us and Alabama made football in the south relevant. Now bend your knee in reverence

Honorable mention to GT too. They went out west and crushed a Pac 12 team in the Rose Bowl a few years after we beat Washington.

True all though they didn't sustain the success like Tennessee and Bama did through the 20s-early 60s

With all due respect, no it isn't. In the SEC, it's probably 5th in the pecking order at absolute best.

All big 6 programs are elite programs with the capacity to win big. Hence why only those 6 schools have won the SEC the past 45+ years. All others have proven to be beneath us.

TN will be even better in 2017 than in 2016.

So it is more like when TN wins the East in 2016 we may see a run of dominance.
