No one thinks the current club team can compete with good NCAA teams. However, once you make the jump to NCAA, then it opens the doors for better players. We would be able to compete pretty quickly. Would probably be better than UAH within 3 years.

It would not be a club team if they decided to make it a NCAA sport at Alabama. Bama would then start providing these things called scholarships that would improve the quality of players. I doubt Bama would ever be able to compete for a national title with the typical college hockey powers, but hockey games are fun to go to, and a small 3-5k arena would be cool.
