This entire conversation started because a comment was made about Miles not winning consistently with sub-par QB play.

You're missing my point (not unusual, as you seemingly always get defensive at my posts directed towards LSU). My point was that Miles could have achieved MORE if he had managed to either A) recruit better players at the position, B) had better coaches at the position, C) gotten out of the way of the coaches he's hired to coach the position, or D) all of the above.

My point is that Miles belongs in same category as Richt - an underachiever based on where he is and what hes done. Doesn't mean that both aren't very good coaches. They are. I'm just saying both should have done more, but for different reasons.

I'm not missing anything. You're having a different conversation. I don't care about SEC titles or recruiting. I'm pointing out one thing, and one thing only:

Saying Les Miles doesn't win consistently with sub-par QB play is wrong. Plain and simple.

If you don't want to discuss that, don't reply to me.

I am not really sure what the problem really has been. It's been downhill (except Mett) since 2008 when Perriloux had to be kicked off. QB play before that under Miles was fine. 4 star ish QBs have been signed since then, but none have panned out. I really can't say if it is bad recruiting or lack of development. It's hard to tell tbh.
