It's hard to say whether it's his scheme or not, though it probably is. What I do know is he took a secondary filled with players who are built to play man coverage and tried to run a zone scheme.

I'd say his scheme would be better if he had the players to fit it, but history doesn't show that to be true. His defenses have gotten worse the longer he was at each school.
