Somewhere in Africa

Serious question, do black people trace their ancestry to a specific country in Africa or is the documentation to accurately do so just not exist?

Always seems black people are just "African" rather than South African, Kenyan, Nigerian, etc. While white people are never referred to as European but rather Italian, French, English, German, etc

Here is the map for the paternal lineage for my dad, first one is a 25 marker relation, red is closer, orange second, yellow third. Most being in Ireland, Scotland, England area which matches up with my last name. Two of those reds, one in Ireland and one in Scotland have the same last name as me.

The second map is the migration through history

A very select few can trace their lineage to the exact country, but, yeah, for the majority there's just no documentation to know for sure. Hence, the generic "African," nomenclature.
