Were you actually around for the Fran/Sherman eras? We were an absolute joke

We were irrelevant, now we're a national punchline. People are holding our program up as a means of showing "Well,it could be worse".

Give me the former

No way, just no way. You need to go back and look again at how shitty those Fran classes were. I did it to work out the whole "best average talent" graph and it was shockingly bad.

Nah, that is another Aggie fantasy. We could never and can never kill Texas's program. Just look at all the national writers who assumed Charlie would be fired after last year. When the whole nation holds up those kind of expectations for your program the door is always open once you get the right coach. I think Michigan right now is a perfect example.

But a national title or two and we could turn OU into Nebraska, which would have the same net benefit for us.

Things aren't as bad as you think they are. We're 9 wins away from being fine, unless people outside the team just insist on driving the bus off the mountain.
