I like how you said that. She said she just doesn't want to throw me to the wolves. But I think taking a step in faith and showing I can show up is important.

You have to remember - her family comes with her. 5 years from now, you want Thanksgiving and Christmas to be peaceful. If he thinks you have a chip on your shoulder (although HE is likely the one with the chip) he will treat you like you are the one with the problem.
