Meh, ignore the troll. I got married when I was 23 and my wife was 22. Happily married going on 13 years now. Wouldn't trade our life for any amount of single years I could have had.
As far as the redneck dad, I'd offer the restaurant option but he refuses I'd man up and go to the house. He is looking to smell your fear, and if you flinch he wins. If you really feel it's that dangerous, pack a weapon but showing him from day one you are a man and not intimidated will go along way down the road. And that's from personal experience.

That may be my best option. Hopefully I don't need to pack but if needed it'll happen. I don't want him thinking he scared me off.
