Ironically, most Auburn fans believed with the recruiting we had done we would be contending again in 2013 when we got uga and bama at home.

With the recruiting y'all have been doing the last few years (multiple top 10 classes) it's really mind blowing that AU would have a team unranked at the end of the season. AU has had the talent it just doesn't show up on the field consistently. Multiple top 10 recruiting classes should result in at least finishing top 15-20 every season.

But Auburn fans told us Malzhan's offense was the future of football.

Lack of development on both sides of the ball.

We have to remember, since 2008, Auburn has had Paul Rhodes, Ted Roof, Brian Van Gorder, Ellis Johnson, Will Muschamp and Kevin Steele as defensive coordinators. That's a lot of turnover. On offense, Gus Malzahn's offense only performs well with a great athlete that has the ability to also pass.
