Ironically, most Auburn fans believed with the recruiting we had done we would be contending again in 2013 when we got uga and bama at home.

But Auburn fans told us Malzhan's offense was the future of football.

Lack of development on both sides of the ball.
We have to remember, since 2008, Auburn has had Paul Rhodes, Ted Roof, Brian Van Gorder, Ellis Johnson, Will Muschamp and Kevin Steele as defensive coordinators. That's a lot of turnover. On offense, Gus Malzahn's offense only performs well with a great athlete that has the ability to also pass.
