Actually, we won the SEC's first national title in baseball in 1990 and have been to the CWS 6 times including a #2 finish in 2008.

My question was more why "bbq"? Simply because it rhymes or is there some sort of significance behind that particular term?

If I am not mistaken, Mike Martin of FSU choking fame, coined the phrase. Lose two and watch the rest of the tournament grilling and tv.

Probably the fact that it rhymes with 2 and it is a summer activity. As in - on to the offseason...
