If I have said it once I have said it 1,000 times. If you show up on game day with no ticket and wait till kick off, you can go to ANY game for $100 or less.

This. Most I've ever paid to attend a game was $100, and that was for the Bama/OSU playoff.

Actually, maybe I paid 125 for the OU Sugar Bowl suckfest, but those were 45 yard line tickets from a friend, so I didn't mind too much.

This strategy has worked for me every time except twice. First time was the Tennessee game in Knoxville in 96. We didn't see hardly anyone selling tickets before the game, and they all wanted $200+(which was unheard of at the time) There was nobody to be found with an extra right after kickoff, and a lot of people looking.

1999 Tennessee game in Tuscaloosa was the same deal. We gave up by the end of the 1st quarter.

Shhh!!! Don't tell everyone. Then those us jedis will be left without tickets.

I've done it a million times without a problem. The only time I was left screwed was the blackout game in Athens. People still wanted $200+ for nosebleeds at kickoff. And looking around, it was a sea of fingers in the air.

After a few loud cheers, I ran to the nearest bar. I was glad to find out it was Bama fans making all that noise. But that was a game was perfect storm for overpriced tickets.

If you're particularly patient, and by yourself, I've seen drunk people offering free tickets to big games, because they forgot to try to sell them.
