I was kidding. I'm never serious here. I have enough of that in my life.

Mike seems fine but his recruiting is lacking so far. Recruiting to UF is difficult. We don't have stellar HS basketball here so there's not a lot of good recruits close. We have to recruit nationally and that is difficult for a new coach at a non-traditional blue chip school like UF.

We'll see how it all shakes out. He'll be given lots of time unless the bottom just drops out. We were very patient with Billy D.

He should have kept the same places of recruiting like Billy D did. With the NYC area and the other big cities

Billy had a leg up because of his ties to the NE. Mike White doesn't talk like them.

To be fair, Donovan is from New York and played at Providence and with the Knicks. So it made sense for him to recruit that area having those lifelong connections. You don't just pick that up as a new coach and Donovan was a solid recruiter so unless they went out and got someone of the caliber there was going to be a drop off.

I think White will be fine at Florida. Maybe not success at Donovan's level but with some time he'll get himself established.
