I don't know man, drinking to the point of drunkeness on the patio of a bar in downtown Athens as a Georgia football player is some pretty dumb shite 
I'm not saying the actual drinking was bad but you've got to know your environment and the risks. If you're going to drink underage, do it at a house or actually INSIDE the bar where a cop walking by can't pick you out as an easy target
Eta: now as Peter said, you an very well make the argument that the real dumb shite are the cops that play gotcha with all students downtown

He shouldn't be a target unless he was doing something else to break the law that was clear and evident.
It's hard to be discrete when you are a good bit taller and bigger than everyone... Even more for the black dudes.
