Point being in this day and age with Baylor and FSU and Penn State and UNC and on and on, people are itching to make a big deal out of a cover up (no matter how asinine). And while covering up underage drinking shouldn't be a big deal at all, its not the kind of negative attention you want to invite in with a new HC and a new program. We can get into the ins and outs of how ridiculous UGAs drinking and drug policies are but the fact remains that the policy is what it is, the media knows it, the public knows it, and the students know it. Just don't do dumb shite (or at least don't put yourself in a position to get caught) and there won't be anything to worry about

You don't have to cover anything up. Just say "there is no longer an alcohol charge pending, so we're not suspending him. We will handle any discipline internally." Rival fans type something stupid on message boards for an hour, and it's gone.

I would argue that this didn't even qualify as dumb shite.
