I'll take the Mountains over California any day. Mississippi is hit or miss for me.

Southern California native here.

You do realize there are huge mountain ranges that run from the Southern most border with Mexico up North into Oregon right?

The highest point in West Virginia is 4,863 ft. (Nearly 2,000 ft smaller than the highest peak in Tennessee fwiw) The highest peak in California is nearly over 14,500 ft...

CA mountains > Anywhere East of the Mississippi mountains

All of West Virginia is mountains. All of it. And they're thickly and lushly wooded in a way that makes California's look absolutely barren. There is a big difference in actually living in the mountains and having them as a weekend getaway that you may or may not be able to see on a distant horizon because they are tall.

I say that as someone who loves California.
