He can't throw the ball back to the pitcher without pausing/jerk motion. It's painful to watch.

Yeah, he has a hitch in his throw. But I've watched every UGA game this season and to my knowledge he hasn't ever had the yips (meaning he hasn't thrown a ball into the outfield or past the pitcher that I've seen). He more than justified his spot on that list with 11 HRs so far this season and nearly perfect defense (don't recall many if any passed balls this year).
