I banged a lesbian in Knoxville, Tn in 2007
I've just walked the Bentonville square - no lesbo's spotted
Hope these add to the thread

I'll humble brag a bit and say that I've hung out with them some in social settings. They're extremely "normal" and down to earth all things considered. And there's no doubt that they're doing awesome things for our area. Last time I was around them everyone was literally just drinking and practicing archery after floating and fishing a river earlier that day. They're really into archery or were. I think that they sort of all get into hobbies as a group (flying, mountain biking, etc).

Wasn't just about her cheating. She was just a cool chick. Probably one of the coolest I've met.

Rosie O'Donnell shows up for one damned softball game last year and suddenly the BFF is #dykefestUSA.
check the posts, I was calling it a lesbian-fest before they added on the softball game. I mean c'mon, they added a softball game. It couldn't be anymore stereotypical lesbian.
The Walmart exec dude Duncan whateverhislastnameis happens to be a neighbor of Geena Davis out in L.A. it's not exactly an organic coming together of minds to celebrate films and try to create a local hub of film and media creation. It's just a cash cow for a small group of folks.

What in the frick is this thread about

A cash cow? I'm pretty sure that way more money is going into the BFF from investors at this point than what's coming out. It's pretty much freaking charity from the Waltons as far as I can tell. You sure do like to complain a lot.

It's a niche festival. They're all opportunists.
This event started with an idea but was brought to the fore with corporate sponsorships. Pretty much every "organic" festival of any kind anymore is completely corporate. Every one you've heard of anyway. SXSW is completely corporate and has been since about the third year in, when people started to realize they could capitalize on it.

Are you going to bitch about crystal bridges or the IMBA conference being held here because a small number are benefitting from Walton largesse? I mean, they're trying to build something and do something to improve the area. You can quibble with the methodology or something if you want, but you really just seem like a whiny bitch at times on this board.

Events are only legit if there is no financial support?
Wtf kind of thinking is that? Someone has obvisouly never run an event for a non profit

Yeah, this two-bit festival and it's B-listers are beneath our cultured, old-moneyed selves. Please, less of this corporate BFF garbage and more Toad Suck festival, more tractor pulls, and more dirt track racing.
Now, I'm going to have my Butler, Jeeves, bring me my nightly Armand de Brignac and retire to my chambers. Toodaloo.

Some of y'all haven't figured it out. When the board goes dead, I post up silly stuff to create a conversation and some friction to elicit responses from different directions.

and the Walmart discussion thread gets whacked
even though a presidential candidate talked about it on "All" networks.
Censorship knows no bounds
Guess I'll have to go to a bigger audience for opinions on the subject

I have quite a few friends in Fayetteville who happen to be lesbian. By and large they tend to be really nice people who are thrilled to be living in a community that doesn't shun them.
I really miss the way NWA used to be. The transplants have forever changed the area.
