Chavis is a good coach. No one is disputing that. He did great for LSU. We have hard feelings towards Chavis bc the way he left the program was unprofessional and classless. Everyone here knows that we had great defenses under Chavis. Chavis doesn't coach DB's btw. I'm confused as to why when Chavis moved to the gay side of the force why the result stayed the same against LSU. Is this how you deal with being our gimp? You makeup victories against LSU in irrelevant areas.

LSU football needed an injection of some young energy after the Chavis fiasco and then the Miles fiasco later on.

From what I've heard Chavis never enjoyed living in Baton Rouge and did not like working for LSU for the majority of his stint.

Now that a full season has passed and Steele is no longer our burden most of us couldn't care less about Chavis.
True, but we Aggies had a right to say "I told you so" about Steele at least a little bit after the way yall defended that hire last offseason. LSU fans were too quick to drop the defense of Steele and pretend that not a single one of them ever expected the guy to do better as a coordinator when most of yall did.
To be fair we Aggies are holding into that "I told you so" card a few months past the expiration date, but that is part of what we do. We won't let stuff go until we feel we got all we wanted to get out of it, which is why we still bring up the stupid 1990's contract.
I expect decades of shite like this, the LSU fan propensity to not eat crow that should be eaten mixed with an Aggie propensity to beat a dead horse to the point where it's not even worth jacking off on the corpse is a bad combo. Maybe in time we both can learn another way to live, but it will take a while.

Sorry if the truth hurts. He couldn't wait to get out of that city.
