Auburn fans are pretty much apathetic now towards WM. He left us for "greener pastures". Most have the opinion he may not be head coach material. He made strides with our defense. I actually had confidence they could make some stops towards the end of the year. After the debacle at UF, it'd be hard to find an AU fan that would want him as a HC. If things don't work out at USCe, I don't think he will have a cozy place to land like the first go around. Schools will be scared to hire him in fear that he'll be at their school for less than 1 full year.

I don't think in retrospect hiring Will as your DC was risky at all at the time. I doubt many people would have thought that another school in a big conference would have been silly enough to hire him as HC one year removed from being fired at one of the easiest places to have success in today's footballl landscape.
