The lawyer who drafted the complaint either has no idea what he's doing, or he wrote the complaint with the media in mind. A complaint is just supposed to be a short, plain statement of the claim and a demand for relief. Even if the case goes before a jury, the jury will never see the complaint (unless it gets admitted into evidence, and I can't imagine any reason why it would). So it's absolutely pointless to mention the stepdad's veteran status or the fact that Tunsil was an all-American. Including that irrelevant language was absolutely ridiculous. Stepdad and the lawyer are just hoping for a handout.

No one posted it because this has no effect on him. This will get thrown out of court so quickly.

Oh, and did you know? He's a disabled navy vet?

Keep in mind, statutes of limitations in MS for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress are one year. So, I guess he has a point with the fact that he is running out of time, but that still hasn't stopped them from filing literally any time before now. Seriously, this is laughable. This lawyer is ruining his reputation over this.
