Very insightful discussion...

Years without a running QB:

2009-Chris Todd (3 star with a grade of 83)
2011-Barrett Trotter (3 star with a grade of 84)
2015-Jeremy Johnson (4 star with a grade of 92) Sean White (4 star with a grade of 93)

So we've had one year without a "pro-style QB" that was actually supposed to be worth a shite and we actually moved the ball very well with White in between the 20s.

are you sure? I could have sworn it was inciteful. looking at stats only is misleading, especially with Todd. feel free to keep dreaming though. reality is we are fricked unless Franklin makes huge strides over the summer or Woody is that damn good.

Here's the thing with Sean White being Auburn's starting quarterback. Outside of struggling in the redzone, which could change in 2016, Auburn has weaknesses at tackle and wide receiver. Passing quarterbacks that happen to be small, have limited arm strength and limited athleticism don't typically do well when there's no blocking up front and no threats on the outside.

Kid is a gamer. I think he could do outstanding in the right system with the right pieces. Auburn's 2016 offense doesn't have those pieces.
