We don't do gimmick concerts just to get fans to come to games.

You do realize that this was more for the recruits than the fans, right? Appears to have worked, too, given that we've gotten 2 announced verbals from 4* players since Saturday and up to 8 more being hinted at by mods and insiders on the pay boards (recent commit William Poole said 10 silent commits on G Day).

The fans showed up for 4 reasons: 1.) relentless marketing by a former UGA player turned winning DC at Bama turned HC at UGA, 2.) the game was not scheduled on the same weekend as The Masters or a Braves home series, 3.) the weather was completely immaculate, and 4.) Jacob Eason. Luda was entertaining but hardly the reason why anyone showed up

For an athletic department historically stingy enough to become the last to build an IPF in the SEC, I for one am glad we're finally showing we're willing to put down the money to create an atmosphere that is enticing to both recruits and fans.
