So I think you mean SC.

The others are:
Former 2 Time National Recruiter of the Year, Lance Thompson
Former National Recruiter of the Year, Bryan McClendon
Former National Recruiter of the Year Finalist, Trav Robinson

Then we have Shawn Elliott (who's been a solid recruiter at SC for OL the past several years.) We also added Bobby Bentely, who's son is the 4* QB coming in and who already signed a PARADE All American RB within the first 2 months of him being here. Bentley is a legendary HS Coach in the Carolinas, he'll open a lot of doors for us.

Then we have the secret weapon, Jessica Jackson.

Shouldn't they actually recruit at USCe before saying they're the second best in the country? No two jobs are the same.

Not really. Then they couldn't have Alabama at #1 on this list either. They have a bunch of new coaches as well.

I think your reputation as a recruiter can carry over b/w jobs. Lance was a great recruiter at his multiple stops, and so was TRob. McClendon only coached at 1 other school, but we're giving him mostly the same territory to recruit. The relationships that these coaches build with HS Coaches//Handlers/etc... can be an attribute to them no matter where they coach.

Hey it's not every staff in CFB that can recruit a top 2017-class QB and get him to join the team for 2016. I don't recall Alabama's staff ever doing that....

there aren't 11 better recruiting staffs in america than what we have at UGA.

Not saying we're #1 or anything crazy like that, but we damn sure aren't 12th or lower.

By these standards LSU is stacked too:

2 time National Recruiter of the year finalist, Ed O
2 time National Recruiter of the year finalist, Dameyune Craig
and Corey Raymond who has a few top 25 finishes and a top 10 finish.

Also Lsu's Rb coach (who is the guy they get with Louisiana connections) has finished as the national recruiter of the year twice in the last 10 years and multiple top 5 finishes. Coach Jabbar Juluke will keep that going strong as well.

The most important weapon a recruiter has is the logo on his shirt.

Let me know when South Carolina finishes ahead of LSU in the recruiting rankings.

I'm sure I'll be waiting for a very long time.

This should have been an /thread moment.

Until they do it *at* the school they're working for now, previous accolades mean very little. I'm not knocking the staff either. I think Boom put together a solid recruiting staff. If he can learn from previous mistakes and get the offense "right" this go around, he should be able to bring SC back to life. God knows the east needs it. Can't have 3 cellar dweller programs for too long or the Ole Miss' and Arkansas' start to think they're elite compared to the east.

I'd also agree that would be hard to find 11 programs that have a better recruiting staff than what's at UGA right now, but until we see a full cycle from them, they probably shouldn't be on the list just yet either.
