We have had a history of good beat reporters. If there is any position that has unreasonably high expectations it is the beat reporter for a local team. Every fan base is unreasonably harsh, particularly when success on the field is lacking.

journalism doesn't pay well these days and he will be public relations specialist at Columbia College.

I liked some of his stats, but thought overall his reporting was too data-driven. Perhaps more suited to baseball.
