not to my knowledge. I don't think the university has even confirmed yet, just the Tuscaloosa News getting the scoop. would imagine we'll get some kind of statement tomorrow now that this story is out, though not sure what level of detail to expect before the appeals process is concluded.
whole story is unusual for sure but the lack of info isn't that atypical from the way saban does things. runs a tight ship. like i said, I'm sure we'll get some kind of formal response to the story this week with a bit more info.
brown has still been practicing with the team this spring thus far. not sure if that means anything other than that the appeal is still ongoing but just saying.

Has anymore info been released? It's kind of odd how little has been so far isn't it?
Not if it is a failed drug test. The NCAA suggested language for release (page 12 in this document) is:
“The student-athlete in question was found in violation
of the NCAA eligibility rules and has been declared
ineligible.”

Sounds like a drug issue. The fact that UA is appealing the suspension makes me think he was on some performance enhancers....sort of like the UF qb last year? At this point, you just have to accept that Tony isn't very bright...all the talent in the world but sheesh. Luckily for him, he has two years left to get his act together and prevent being a total bust. Up to him.
