To utilize this thread space which is as useless as a vacant lot in a downtown building district... I'm hearing a lot of chatter about the Panthers wanting to snatch up Derrick Henry if they can. I'd love another OL but I think Henry would provide a nice one two punch with Cam.

That would be a terrible pick-up. The panthers need to forget about every position besides OL for the first 3 rounds.

Would hate this move. Henry, while very fast, has terrible burst (1.61 10yd split--GRob did 1.68). He doesn't have elite balance and runs high which are some red flags for the NFL.

Given where he likely ends up i nthe draft, I'd hate this move.

The Panther's run game is absolutely NOTHING like the Bama run game.

Can Henry run successfully out of the read-option? Can he sit there patiently with the ball in his gut while Newton is reading the defense? He's never had to before.

Plus, the Panther's run game is a one-cut style of running. There isn't a designated "hole", there's a line call and the RB has to be patient and wait for a hole to develop, plant his foot, and go. Is Henry that guy?

I think Henry could be a beast in the NFL in the right offense. I just don't think Carolina is that offense. Would rather have the Bama center, Kelly, 100 times out of 100 over Henry.
