Honestly, I think the closest comparison is Hartsfield with both being in high school when their incidents occurred. Kelly was technically still enrolled at EMCC and was still on a scholarship, correct?
What I find so funny is all the MSU and OM people comparing each other's rosters, looking for bad apples when there are plenty of other teams in the SEC to choose from.

Msu fans will justify any wrong doing from their players by deflecting like hell to ole miss.
all fans do this for players on their team. again, get off your high horse

how pissed are you going to be when none of this matters when simmons turns 18? btw, he'll plead guilty and get probation.

He was very close to being on our team.
But if it makes you feel any better I'll repeat something I posted yesterday.
Simmons is not a student, booster, or alumnus of msu. Therefore, he is not a representative of Mississippi state university. This incident is not a reflection on the school or coaching staff whatsoever. Msu is not at fault here.

Nothing else matters but that.....absolutely nothing. "But stringfellow tho" is not a a defense that will hold up in court when Simmons is has to face his charges.
And all that bs doesn't change the fact that you have just as big pieces of shite on your team. Who the frick are you to judge? I guess if I filter through your 40,000+ posts, I'd find where you stated you didn't want those pieces of shite on your team.
You waiting on Simmons to be convicted of a serious crime is like the EDer's waiting on the OM NOI/NOA.

call your local district attorney. first time offenders of misdemeanor crimes get probation.
ETA: not sure about Mississippi, but where I practice, simple assault charges are set aside for 6 months to a year and ultimately dismissed with good behavior and anger management classes

MISDEMEANOR CONVICTION gets you probation, community service and a fine in MS.
He can still vote and own a gun. Sorry pank, your argument does not hold up on the rant.

Agree. We all wanted him. State got him. This isn't a reflection on State.
The issue here is: What will State do with him? Their fans have run their mouth ad naseum about what a higher plane they're on, and how they would never tolerate frickups like OM does.
So, prove it, or STFU forever.

id ask which of our players is on video beating a barely conscious woman on the ground but that would be irrelevant.
You can deflect all you want. Just makes you look like shite.
Once again. Simmons is not an msu student. I am not commenting on msu whatsoever. You need to get over college football rivalries and realize there are bigger things in life......like not pummeling a barely conscious woman on the ground.
Once again....I am in absolutely no way commenting on Mississippi state so bringing up ole miss constantly makes you look like a petty dipshit that has not concept of logical thought.

Simple assault can carry up to six months jail time.

Oh so this is what it's about...butt hurt over ED and Steve Robertson on an OM witch hunt? That's pretty pathetic.

yeah, so can any misdemeanor conviction. "can" doesn't mean "shall"

I have never said we are on a different plane. I always said we need to model our recruiting "network$" after OM but actually win on the field.

I'm sure this is why 95% of the fans ITT are Ole Miss fans....because it's not about Mississippi State, it's the principle

I'm aware. My specific problem is there's a good chance he will be putting on a football helmet this fall.
Am I saying I don't want him to have the chance of going to college and bettering his life? No. Just that playing football is a reward and not a right.
He shouldn't be on a p5 roster next season.

Well. We were close to signing him so we have a vested interest. It's also something that happened in Mississippi and frequently on state media.
So it's kind of a big deal around here.

Proved my point from earlier with this. You don't want him playing football because you wanted him to play for om.
Get out pank, if you keep digging you wont be able to climb out.
