this is ridiculous, lol! Ole Miss (and Bama) are breathing a huge sigh of relief that this isn't our problem to deal with, but yours instead...now, we might be chuckling at the amount of money snitch u ponied up on signing day between the time aj brown signed with ole miss and when simmons finally inked with state college, 8 hours later. but believe me when I say that its relief not anger.

He isn't playing, dude. I guarantee he never sees the field. This is one of the societal issues that is a huge fricking deal right now. Racism, feminism and domestic abuse. He is long gone and will be changing tires in noxubee for 40 years to come.
I think he should be sent to JC until he proves he's not trouble. Fact is, as soon as State drops him, OM will offer and sign him. No doubt. So he'd really never get punished anyway. And it's not gonna be domestic abuse. Charges have been filed now. Simple assault. Disturbing the peace. He's gonna be at State. With that being said. Mullen now loses the moral high ground and is just like Freeze. Look the other way if a player can help you win. Sad but true.
And I agree with whoever that said the video is what's really damaging. Could you imagine if there was video of OM signee, Hartfield, holding down and forcibly sodomizing an underage younger smaller player? Would there have been international outrage when they signed him? Definitely. But there was no video. OM welcomed a child molester with open arms. Just don't drop the soap in OMs locker room.

The difference with Ole Miss is that you pay people and still can't figure out how to win 10 games in a season.

And as far as the original post goes, State should never be allowed to say a word to Ole Piss ever again. With the amount of shite I've seen them give for minor stuff like RKD's weed/window stuff, and now the majority of the posters on ED act like theres "nothing to see here" when a 300-pound man beats up a woman lying on her back.
State fans are pathetic. frick you all.

I think you're over estimating the scope of SEC football, but ok

Is this a real place? Sounds like somewhere losers hang out

A few things. Simmons is not on the football squad yet, and unless he gets in trouble again, he will be dressing out for fall practice. If charges aren't dropped, the judge may send him for some sort of rehabilitation service. He's still a minor, so if it's a first time offense, he'll probably just get a good talking to. If she had been beaten to a pulp, it'd be a different story, but Simmons wasn't even the only person involved in the fracas, so the charge is just procedure.
As of right now, I just can't see anything of note happening here. On way or the other.

I agree. The only thing to come of this will be the loss of State's dignity.

Well aren't you going to welcome us to the club?

We've just been taking notes from Saban and Bama....I was all for him staying, but now that I've been reminded of the Jonathan Taylor rule, he can't go to another SEC school if we release him. Thanks for setting the bar!!

So it's not a big deal because she wasn't beaten to a pulp.
The length some fans will go to justify why their team will keep a prized recruit or player never ceases to amaze me. How about just be honest and admit he won't get dropped because he's a freak athlete and State and Mullen need him? That's the only reason the kid hasn't been booted yet.

Keep in mind, the guy that said that is not only an adult, but an old one. It's pretty amazing/sickening

I wouldn't kick him off the team, that's the worst thing g u can do to most these kids it's the only structure they have.. but by the time I was done with him every time he saw a woman he'd instinctively slap himslf
Wouldnot even sniff the field his first year playing is a privilege given to kids who don't beat the shite out of women

Say what you want State fans, but you can no longer stick your nose in the air to Ole Miss's issues if you let a guy who is shown punching a woman several times on video remain a part of the program. You have to admit your program is willing to get in the mud like every other program you criticize, especially tSUN.
The one main reason Ole Miss fans are on their "moral high horse" is because we've heard how much of a disciplinarian Mullen is compared to Freeze and now it's backtracking. Isn't it kinda ironic to call someone a hypocrite while also being hypocritical?

I obviously didn't mean that in an on-the-field sense. But I will admit that State had me fooled. With all of the shite they talk on the internet, I honestly believed they would react to this situation like respectable humans. Instead, they have proven themselves to be exactly the kind of spineless toads that that they accuse others of being.
The fact that there are grown men justifying this by saying "he didn't beat her up that badly" is amazing to me. You are all an embarrassment.
