Ballgame time. I cannot express how much I abhor paying cougar high $9.95 for this one game. But I'm doing it because I'm eaten up with it. Those shits are going to pay for their entire AD's expenses with this one baseball game.

Crack and heroin available in stores? Now here's the death of common sense.

Most heroin deaths/morbidity occur from diseases you contract via dirty needles and/or contaminates. A regulated, overseen drug trade would virtually eliminate the transmission of Hepatitis and HIV amongst' heroin users.

Really? I would think overdose would cause the most deaths but I haven't seen any stats to back that up.

You can buy alcohol.

Buying and drinking a sixer doesn't make you an alcoholic...
I don't think selling heroin in c stores is a sound idea.

Since when is drinking some beer comparable to black tar heroin?

this is true. the "black market" for pot in Colorado is huge for "users" way cheaper and tax free. 23% tax rate on it where i live so you know sometimes i only want to pay $30 for .25 oz instead of 80+ at the dispensary. Having the ability to grow it on your own has drastically lowered the price of street green. just find a guy who grows for a co-op and you can get really good deals.
That's not really true. While the black market does still exist, it's very small in comparison. $80 for a quarter is only at the upscale dispensaries, in areas of town with expensive talk real estate and residents that want to buy weed at a place that looks like an Apple store (that's an actual marketing campaign).
Many rec dispensaries sell quarters for $50-60. Regular users, such as myself, tend to go medical. My quarters cost $40-50, and as cheap as $30 occasionally.
As I typed that, this email came in...
quote:
We are open till 7pm tonight. Wax starting at $15, Shatter as low as $20! Live res $30! OZ's flower, starting at $99! All Top Shelf 8th's! $25! Come and get it til close! Natures Kiss
So that would be $25 for a quarter.
I've been offered black market weed, but it was usually more expensive than medical. Most black market pot is grown with the intent to ship out I'd state, where they'll make significantly more money from it.

Yep. Black market in legal states is a joke and is usually meant for ship to prohibition states

That isn't going to happen. It probably won't happen with weed either.
When you buy any weed in Colorado, med or rec, they scan your Id. They know exactly what you've purchased, when you purchased it. This allows them to be certain you've not bought more than legally allowed, kinda like doctor shopping.
I'm for anything that eliminates the war on drugs, and gets our society to treat drug use as a public health issue instead of a criminal one.
By tracking use of addictive substances, you know who the addicts are, and can help get them the treatment they need.
Our current path just fills up prisons. Prisons are dangerous and full of violence. After prison time, ex cons become more violent. This has created a more violent and dangerous society. They also can't find a decent job when they get out, and private prisons don't offer any vocational training to help them gain any job skills. They'll often end up selling drugs or stealing/robbery. So they'll commit more crimes, and being more violent people and not wanting to go back to jail, usually leads to more violence against the victims.

agreed
but heroin only exists because of the war on drugs. Same with crack and crustal meth. Opium and heroin are in the same chain, as heroin is made from opium in a sense, so I could see dispensaries selling that for much cheaper than on the black market and that being a deterrent to heroin.

Lol. I don't support dog drug use.
Except during blizzards, if you have a dog with a shite load of energy. Then they might need a toke.

THey got them available at pharmacy's. Legal meth and legal opiates (of course you need a script) can be found at drug stores nationwide.
Kids can get "Desoxyn" which is meth, and here is a quote from the FDA on it:
"Read the Medication guide that comes with DESOXYN ® before you or your child starts taking it and each time you get a refill. "
Dexoxyn FDA (Meth)
Then you have oxycotin for kids approved for 11 year olds. Oxycotin, or legal heroin
Seems like kids can get meth and heroin equivalents already with the right doctor. But then it makes you wonder at what cases should a kid be given meth and hardcore opiates.
----
Also do people really think if drugs are all legalized, it would be readily available at gas stations? Come on and use your heads. Is liquor allowed at gas stations? No it isn't, so I'm sure there will be real "drug stores" to buy these legal recreational drugs, and again, I'm sure there will be measures involved to make sure no one under 21 can come inside.
Or do you guys think that with legal drugs, people would just be handing them out like candy to everyone? Where the frick is the common sense at?

It's great to be able to buy beer or liquor whenever you want. It's something any grown person should be able to do. If I work a random night shift, I might want some bourbon or a six pack afterwards.
I'm sorry you state feels the need to coddle its adults like they're children.
Bitch.
