What is the overall feeling of Big Blue Nation? What should be the overall feeling?

I'm disappointed over previous seasons than this season, although losing to IU is painful to say the least.
With Cal's way of doing this, this is what you get. Most of the time, your most talented players are freshmen, and sometimes you face an senior led team like IU and you tighten up toward the end, and you lose.

With all the talent that has come thru in the Cal era I would have thought we should have more national titles. Should have won in 2009, made it to the final four in 2011 which was unexpected, but ended up being the most talented team there and lost. In 2014 the season was average, but surprisingly made it to the title game, and again lost to a less talented team.
Last year had the most talent ever on one team and still didn't win.

No question Cal has done great things, but we should have at least four titles in the seven years, and we have one. I'm disappointed, but Cal and his coaches do amazing things in recruiting, so with the way the NCAA and the NBA handle freshmen, it's just the way it works. It's not just UK, any top talent will leave after one year. The money is too great.

UK has 8 total over several decades and several coaches. Rupp himself had just 4 over his 42 year career at UK with undoubtedly as much talent in comparison to his competition as Calipari does now.

In non-UK comparison, it's taken Coach K 36 years at Duke to win 5. The bulk of those coming after he was already at Duke a decade.

The numbers among active D-1 coaches:

Mike Krzyewski (Duke): 5
Roy Williams (UNC): 2
Rick Pitino (UofL): 2 (1 at UK)
Jim Boeheim (Syracuse): 1
Larry Brown (SMU): 1 (Kansas)
Steve Fisher (San Diego State): 1 (Michigan)
Tom Izzo (Michigan State): 1
Kevin Ollie (UConn): 1
Bill Self (Kansas): 1
Tubby Smith (Texas Tech): 1 (Kentucky)
Rollie Massimino (Keiser): 1 (Villanova)

IMO, top talent or not, it's unreasonable to expect that many titles while discounting how tough it is to win one. People's expectations of a title every other year is completely infeasible.
