Every bammer quarterback to play in the NFL finished with more interceptions than touchdowns with the exception of Bart Star and AJ McCarron.

Yet 2 of the ones with more INTs than TDs are in the Hall of Fame...

Different era as far as the pre-80's go...the DBs could hit the WRs all down the field until the ball was in the air...the QB was just another player and wasn't protected near as much as today. Not to mention that more of the passing game back then consisted of downfield throws as opposed to all the bubble screens/rubs/jet sweeps you see today...

Lot of great QBs in that era that had more INTs than TDs that are in the Hall of Fame: Sammy Baugh, Bob Waterfield, Bobby Layne, Norm Van Brocklin, Y.A. Tittle, and George Blanda. Terry Bradshaw, my favorite, had just 2 more TDs than INTs. The rules today are much more favorable to the QB and the passing game...

Yet quarterbacks like Unitas, Staubach, Tarkenton, Griese, and Bradshaw all finished with more touchdowns than interceptions playing in the same era
