People made a move on Miles, but they failed to get him. He now knows who was working against him, and who has his back. It's interesting to see that right afterwards, he was able to get a couple assistants he wanted (Aranda, Craig), and quickly at that. The hires were announced within a day or so of the openings occurring. That sounds like Miles has been asked what he needs to succeed, and when he says something, the administration gives him the green light to go get it, without trying to pinch pennies or haggle.

And THAT sounds like a safe guy.
