Where was this analysis when everybody was busy trashing A&M's program? I guess they must assume the next guys will be even worse.

Pretty misleading as he was #1 in the SEC through the first five games until he fricked his shoulder up late against MSU. Even then, his low rating is almost entirely due to two games (Bama and OM) when he was forced to play hurt because Kyler was a bitch and Sumlin didn't want anyone to know he was suspended.

Take out those two games and he would have finished second. It's ok to admit losing him was a big blow, I hate all the Aggie revisionist history crap regarding this. Neither QB we have this year will be as good as a healthy Allen would have been.

I think the optics problem was less his transfer alone and more the fact both starting and highly rated (in recruiting) QBs transferred. Two starting five star QBs in a season is rare, both leaving after the season is unicorn rare.

With that said, despite all the bad talking of Kyler among Aggies unless I missed something he isn't the QB running off his mouth about us to the press. Kyle is.
